In 1991 I took my first pottery class in a basement studio in South Minneapolis. I was smitten from the start. Today my work is primarily wheel thrown, high fire porcelain. I hand carve texture into each piece and use glazes which accentuate the surface. Most of the work is functional and made for daily use.
I have called the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina home since 2010. I work out of a studio in my home as well as a studio in the River Arts District where I am a member of the Odyssey Co-op Gallery.
